I cleaned my room

I was getting the feeling that the darkness was clawing it’s way back into my life, and it has been for the last 6 or so months really.

I haven’t been washing my hair as much as I should. My diet consists of at least 2 fast food meals and 1 big takeaway a week, and my “exercise” is the walk from my car to my office.

So I cleaned my room. I suddenly remembered to pick up my spot cream, I remembered to brush my teeth in the morning AND the evening. I remembered to do my washing before I ran out of socks and not after.

I cleaned my room and put fresh sheets on my bed and suddenly I can get up a lot easier. I have more energy for the day ahead and I don’t feel exhausted the second I get into bed.

I cleaned my room and I suddenly enjoy walking my dog again, and saying hi to my rabbit in the evening when I get home. I made a dish of Shepard’s pie the other night that had vegetables in it, and I actually finished it instead of letting it go mouldy.

I cleaned my room and I’m proud of the work I do and I’m being more proactive about helping my team mates.

I cleaned my room and my life got better.
